wooglethealienI just need to type this up to get the frustration out plus now I have something to link to that tells the whole story ;-). It's really boring, hence most of the mind numbing details are behind the cut.
I bought some jeans and paid for them on 23rd Feb. They are a bit crappy but they are glittery – perfect for off duty bellydancer. They are allegedly end of line items from dorothy perkins which is where 90% of my trousers are from as its the only shop that makes trousers that fit me. I know what size I am there.
I was hoping they would arrive before I left for Cairo on 1st March. By the time I got back on the 8th March, still no sign of them.
When I enquired 13 days after paying (11 postage working days), I was told the item had already been 'sent back to poster'. The Royal mail does this after a recorded package has not been claimed for 7 days. I had not received a red card from the Royal Mail informing me they had tried to deliver, and now thinking about it, the timing was extremely tight for the Royal Mail to have attempted to deliver a second class (2+ working days for delivery, earliest possible delivery 26th Feb), kept it for a week (7 days) and then sent it back. I acknowledge I was supplied a tracking number, but by this time it was given (13 days after payment) the status had simply changed to
" Your item with reference AG268205569GB is being returned to sender.
This is either because the item wasn’t picked up by the recipient, or because we couldn't deliver it. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please allow for at least two days before tracking the return of your item. "
with no mention of either the postage date or sorting office location to verify the number given was actually for my package. I could have been sent any old tracking number. I then sent another £1:50 in good faith for the item to be re-delivered, idiotic maybe but was trying to give benefit of the doubt at this point.
After opening a paypal complaint last week (28/03) because still no sign of them for weeks, seller revealed that package had ‘co-incidentally’ turned up that day and was being re-sent.
Anyway, finally got them on Sat 3rd april. Size 10 my ass!! I am NOT a deluded fat chick who is bigger than she thinks. I shop at Dorothy perkins all the time, I am size 10 there (its slightly too big), and I can get into the size 8 if I wanted to go for that unflattering chav muffin top look. Anyway, the ones that arrived I can barely get past my knees. There are no labels except a tie-on one that says they are bootcut with the number ‘04’. Based on just how tiny they are I wouldn’t be surprised if they are UK size 4 (which rarely exists!).
I've contacted the seller and they claim they are defr a size 10 they can 'send me the labels'. Yeah, a random set of labels cut off any old thing i really going to fucking convince me. They have offerend to exchange for a pari with labels in, but at this point I wouldn't put it past them to put the wrong labels in or be selling a defective batch that they know has the wrong labels or something. I don't really want to be doing any more bloody post tag with this person.
I have until the 18th April to escalate the paypal claim, but I will be away in USA 11-22 so there is no way I can be about to post things and receive things needed to get this resolved (they send everything 2nd class and recorded so they will get stuck at sorting office creating more problems), unless I can persuade the seller to send any replacement to work and have someone there check them for me, or send new ones before I return old ones (Ha!!! The seller has already ignored me asking to send to work not home)
I kind of just want to drop it for my mental health and take the £12 hit I don’t fucking care about the bloody cheap ass jeans anymore, but it’s a matter of principle – I don’t want them to get away with it or for me to look bad to paypal by dropping it!!!

And by the way, ebay seller “boutiqe1express” the word you are looking for is ‘ADVISE’. ‘To advice’ is not a fucking verb.
